Court Adkins, fifth generation drilling man, has been working in the oil and gas industry since he was 19. Since coming to the Permian Basin in 2001, he has successfully completed drilling, completion, and production projects for clients and employers in over 20 counties throughout the area.
Before pursuing his degree in Petroleum Engineering at Texas A&M, he worked as a roughneck for Goldrus Drilling Company on a 22,800' Smackover test well in Simpson County, Mississippi. After graduation, he continued working on rigs, first as a Roustabout and Roughneck offshore, and later as a Ballast Controller on semisubmersibles and as a Service Tech for downhole tool companies.
Since coming to the Permian, he has proven himself as a Project Manager for a variety of project types, including the all-important horizontal drilling and stimulations. He has a particular interest in helping startup companies get up and rolling with their field operations strategy. He has never done it alone and enjoys working while surrounded with very talented associates.
